If it's expanded to include any music, I might have to go with Mozart. Not because he's my favorite (he's not), but because he was so prolific, and his stuff really covers about everything I could want. Light and dark, serious and playful, happy and sad and angry, and so on. Nobody comes close. If we’re talking about bands specifically, then yeah, it’s The Beatles, no question.
